Steam & Water Metering
✔️ Steam & Water Metering
You cannot manage what you do not measure. Unmeasured thermal losses cost industrial plants hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. Implementing highly accurate steam metering solutions is the critical first step in any energy-saving program. By accurately logging your flow rates, you can identify failing steam traps, allocate costs to specific departments, and definitively prove the ROI of your plant upgrades.

- Verify Savings: Prove the financial ROI of new equipment or insulation upgrades.
- Sustainability Compliance: Generate accurate data for corporate emissions and energy reporting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are Vortex meters preferred for steam applications?
Vortex meters have no moving parts to wear out, handle high temperatures effortlessly, and provide excellent accuracy over a wide turndown ratio, making them the industry standard for steam.
Can I install a steam meter without shutting down the plant?
Inline meters require a shutdown to cut the pipe and install flanges. However, for certain water applications, clamp-on ultrasonic meters can be installed without interrupting the process.
How do energy meters differ from standard flow meters?
A standard flow meter only measures volume. An energy meter measures volume and temperature (using RTD sensors) to calculate the actual thermal energy (kW or BTUs) being transferred.
